Joseph Pilates mat work is often considered both the foundation and the pinnacle of his method. Group classes are small in size and you can expect to work at a steady pace with various progressions of different exercises offered to accommodate your level. Students are required to bring their own mat and register in advance of their first class by filling out the form below.

All classes are open to all levels to try. The typical class pace is provided to give you some insight into what to expect.

Beginner paced classes are designed to help you build a consistent practice and build on the new ways you are learning to move your body. These classes are ideal for any fitness level, for those with no or limited Pilates experience, or those re-engaging their Pilates practice after some time off. Beginner classes are suitable for clients with some injuries and limitations. Those with more serious concerns looking to rehab with their Pilates are encouraged to investigate private sessions on Joseph Pilates’ wonderfully weird equipment!

Intermediate and Advanced paced classes are designed for those either familiar with Classical Pilates or confident in their movement ability. Clients can drop in any time expecting a more dynamically paced workout that will challenge their individual level. Options and modifications are still provided in these classes.

Mat + Props classes may be strictly mat work, but occasionally incorporate classical and contemporary Pilates props such as balls, bands, rollers, or circles.
